Common Questions
Will people actually use it?
On the free tier, yes — it's a curriculum, playbooks, and practice tools people want, not a course to sit through. For a team rollout, MCP Tutor adds required, hands-on demonstrations on top of those same tools, so managers see genuine engagement instead of a self-reported checkbox — see MCP Tutor for Teams.
Do employees need their own AI subscription?
They need a Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini account that can add connectors: Claude Pro, Team, or Enterprise (or the free tier where connectors are enabled); a paid ChatGPT plan with Developer mode; for Gemini, custom apps are currently available to personal Google accounts only.
Where does the training happen?
Entirely inside your AI assistant — Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini. MCP Tutor stores content and records progress; the teaching, the conversation, and the assessment happen in the chat.
What if someone fails a demonstration?
Claude gives them specific feedback and invites them to retry. There is no limit on retries. All attempts are recorded in the audit trail.
Can we customize the curriculum?
Business and Enterprise customers can add org-specific chapters. Enterprise customers get full custom curriculum design support.
Is our conversation data sent to MCP Tutor?
MCP Tutor only receives what you explicitly submit: the demonstration prompt, the employee's response, Claude's assessment, and a pass/fail. Full conversation content stays in Claude.
How do I add my team?
An admin adds members by email from the manager dashboard. Each person gets a sign-in code and your organisation's connector URL — they add it to Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini and sign in as themselves. About 30 seconds each.
